Enterprise Europe Network 2023

Driving Healthcare Innovation Through Strategic Collaboration

EFEVRE TECH LTD at Enterprise Europe Network 2023

In 2023, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) once again brought together a dynamic mix of innovators, industry leaders, and forward-thinking SMEs across Europe. Among the thought leaders at this year’s event was Dr. Dimitris Kyriakou, Co-Founder and CEO of EFEVRE TECH LTD, who joined a panel discussion focused on solving critical challenges in healthcare reproducibility — an area increasingly under scrutiny in modern biomedical research.

At the heart of the discussion was the VITALE software, EFEVRE TECH’s AI-powered software that controls AMGEL, EFEVRE's flagship autonomous device. AMGEL was proposed by Dr. Kyriakou as a strategic solution to address reproducibility gaps in experimental healthcare settings. By demonstrating the versatility and reliability of the AMGEL device among with its control software VITALE, Dr. Kyriakou successfully captured the attention of a scientifically engaged audience, paving the way for a robust exchange of ideas on automation, transparency, and standardization in life sciences.

“AMGEL was designed not just to digitize laboratory workflows, but to raise the bar for scientific integrity and reproducibility,” Dr. Kyriakou emphasized during the panel. “Together with the upcoming VITALE software — which will provide a digital backbone for autonomous experimentation, transparent data logging, and unbiased analysis — we at EFEVRE TECH envision a future where reproducibility is not an afterthought but a standard.”

The event offered more than visibility — it became a platform for strategic networking and meaningful dialogue. Dr. Kyriakou engaged with key stakeholders from across the European healthcare innovation ecosystem, including representatives from Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus, strengthening EFEVRE TECH’s collaborative momentum. These exchanges proved critical for expanding the company’s vision and aligning it with EU-wide innovation goals.

Introducing VITALE: A Vision Shaped by the Network

A notable moment during the panel was the preliminary introduction of the VITALE software, a visionary concept at the time, which was presented by Dr. Kyriakou as a digital companion to AMGEL. Though the proposed VITALE software was still in its conceptual stage during EEN 2023, it was envisioned as a holistic digitalization platform for Life-Science researchers, offering user-friendly experiment automation and customization of the automated protocols, real-time unbiased experimental documentation, and 24/7 scheduling of the protocols.

The enthusiastic response from participants affirmed the relevance and potential of such a tool, inspiring the EFEVRE TECH team to further invest in its development. At the end of the presentation, Dr. Dimitris Kyriakou held several follow-up meetings with members of the scientific audience that attended the event, gathering valuable feedback on the desirability and practical application of VITALE. This input was relayed to the development team and directly influenced key aspects of the project's final design and functionality.

Outcomes and Strategic Impact

EFEVRE TECH’s participation in EEN 2023 delivered tangible benefits:

  • Increased Scientific Visibility: The presentation of the autonomous device, AMGEL, and its control concept software, VITALE, positioned EFEVRE TECH at the forefront of reproducibility-focused innovation.

  • Expanded Partnerships: Strengthened ties with Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus opened new channels for collaborative funding and R&D exchanges.

  • Product Evolution: Feedback from industry experts helped shape VITALE’s core functionalities, ensuring user-centric development grounded in real-world scientific workflows.

  • Inspiration and Direction: Discussions and peer feedback during the panel helped refine the strategic direction of EFEVRE TECH’s innovation roadmap in healthcare.

Looking Ahead

The momentum gained from Enterprise Europe Network 2023 continues to energize EFEVRE TECH’s mission to redefine reproducibility and digital transformation in healthcare research. With VITALE now under development and AMGEL deployed in pilot laboratories, the company remains committed to translating panel insights into scalable, impactful solutions for the scientific community.
