Mastering Scientific Literature with BioSkepsis Research Feed

In the fast-paced world of life-science and biomedical research, staying current isn’t just a professional requirement, it’s a challenge. We know the overwhelming feeling of staring at a PubMed results page with over 5,000 new entries and wondering where to even start, especially when thousands of papers are published weekly and the signal-to-noise ratio feels impossible to manage.
This is exactly why we designed the BioSkepsis Research Feed. We wanted to build a centralized, intelligent hub that serves researchers like you by taking the weight of literature monitoring off your shoulders.
We understand that biomedical research is complex. The BioSkepsis app helps you break your project into clear subcategories per chat —by research angle, methodology, or chapter focus—and retrieves the most accurate, highly relevant literature for each specific section of your study.
With Research Feed, each focused chat becomes a live, chapter-specific stream that keeps you updated on newly published literature weekly (or sooner, if you choose). The result: an organized, continuously updated library for every chapter of your thesis, proposal, paper, or discussion—so you stay precise, current, and in control.
What is the BioSkepsis Research Feed?
The Research Feed is a personalized discovery engine built into the BioSkepsis platform. Unlike static search alerts, it allows users to create dedicated folders that we name Feeds, for specific topics and receive curated updates tailored to those interests.
We designed this tool to be an all-in-one workspace that adapts to your specific role:

Are you an Academic Principal Investigator or a Group Leader?
Use the Research Feed to maintain a high-level view of your field and effortlessly track your students' and laboratory members' research progress, ensuring the entire laboratory is aligned with the most critical new data.

Are you a Master's Student, Postdoctoral Student, or a PhD Candidate / Student?
Use the Research Feed to break out of "search fatigue" and automatically organize your literature review. It’s your dedicated space to find, save, and categorize new papers without the manual grunt work.

Are you a Clinical, Biotech, or Diagnostics Development Researcher?
Use the Research Feed to create specific feeds for therapeutic targets or clinical trials to ensure you never miss a breakthrough that could impact patient outcomes.
Key Features That Solve Information Overload
1. Targeted Folder Management
You can organize your research into specific Feeds. Whether you are tracking 100 papers on Alzheimer's or monitoring a niche gene variant, your literature is siloed into manageable projects. No more digging through a massive, unorganized "Saved" list.
2. Intelligent Alerts and Weekly Digests
We recognize that not everyone wants a notification every time a paper is published, which is why we built BioSkepsis with flexible alert settings to match your specific workflow. Whether you need Real-time Alerts for high-priority projects where being the first to know is critical, a Weekly Digest that delivers a summarized email of the most relevant papers once a week, or Monthly Summaries for a high-level overview of field trends, our platform ensures you stay informed without the noise.
3. Seamless Integration with PubMed's PMIDs
Every entry in your feed includes the PMID and a direct link to the source. This makes it incredibly easy to move from discovery to deep reading or to export citations into your reference manager of choice. Whether you are ready for a deep dive into the methodology or simply need to export citations into your reference manager, like Zotero, and transition from initial discovery to actionable insight is seamless. This ensures that your feed isn't just a list of titles, but a functional gateway to the primary literature you need to move your projects forward.
How to Get Started
Setting up your Research Feed takes less than a minute, but you’ll first need to have a BioSkepsis account to save your preferences and build your custom library. Once you’ve signed up and logged in, simply :
Navigate to the BioSkepsis Feed.
Click "+ New" to create a feed based on your current research topic.
Set your alert preferences (we recommend the Weekly Digest to start).
Let the platform curate the latest breakthroughs while you focus on the science.
