VITALE Software In Action : Live Demonstration of the Smart Lab Platform

On July 22nd 2025, EFEVRE TECH hosted a landmark Online Live Demonstration and Training Webinar of VITALE, our smart software platform designed to unify and elevate both manual and automated laboratory workflows. The aim of this webinar was simple: Put VITALE in the hands of scientists, engineers, and early adopters, letting the digital product speak for itself.

 

What followed exceeded our expectations. The webinar drew over 10 active participants from across Europe that are interested in the adaptation of the proposed VITALE software and in participating in the testing phase. With participants ranging from academic researchers and biotech professionals to automation specialists and innovation advisors, the session sparked curiosity, validation, and valuable feedback. But beyond that, it affirmed why VITALE exists in the first place.


INTRODUCING THE VITALE PLATFORM

Running a laboratory today means juggling chaos, even with automation. Devices don't always communicate with each other, protocols are scattered across spreadsheets, and AI tools feel like untrained black boxes. Researchers end up loosing time, not because their science is flawed, but because their systems are disconnected. As a scientist, how recently did you ask yourself in exasperation during an experimentational laboratory process, 'Isn't there an easier way to do this?'.

From its early version, VITALE was built to solve real-world bottlenecks: a Protocol Designer to simplify complex procedures and custom create protocols to accommodate every laboratory's needs, a Protocol Library to store, edit, and review validated methods, a Scheduling Calendar to align laboratory team members and automation devices, and a Personal Labbook that organizes documentation automatically. Additionally, the software's AI Insights feature goes even further surfacing scientific literature that might reshape your conclusions.

 

And yet, this is just the beginning! As laboratories evolve, so does VITALE. With every iteration, it’s becoming more intuitive, more collaborative, and more intelligent, designed not just to support research, but to accelerate.

During the Online Live Demonstration and Training Webinar, we wanted life-science researchers to see how VITALE fits into their world and visualize how it can get implemented in their laboratory and daily lives. The agenda was built around real workflows: 

  • End-to-End Workflow Automation: We demonstrated how VITALE can seamlessly be integrated with a variety of laboratory Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), enabling the automation of custom designed procedures. 

  • Smart Error Reduction: By minimizing human sample intervention, VITALE reduces errors in complex procedures, enhancing the overall quality of research outcomes, even when the user custom designs the protocol and its parameters. 

  • Scalable Solutions: Whether your laboratory handles a handful of samples or thousands, VITALE scales effortlessly to meet your needs, ensuring consistent performance at any level. 



Dashboard: 

The Dashboard provides a centralized overview of all laboratory activities, including scheduled protocols, active tasks, user actions, and AI-driven alerts. It offers researchers real-time visibility into their workflows, ensuring better coordination, tracking, and decision-making across experiments.


Protocol Designer:

Protocol Designer allows Life-Science Researchers to create custom protocol workflows allowing full flexibility on modifications for any component, for instance fine-tuning liquid transfer parameters. These features are designed to provide maximum flexibility and precision, ensuring your protocols are as efficient and reliable as possible. 


Protocol Library:

Protocols created in Protocol Designer are automatically saved in the Protocol Library, ensuring you have quick and seamless access to all your saved workflows. This efficient keeps everything organized so you can focus on advancing your research.


Scheduling Calendar:

Scheduling Calendar is designed to keep your laboratory running like clockwork. With features like 24/7 protocol scheduling, researcher color coding, and real-time notifications, you will always have a clear view of your workflows. 


Personal Labbook:

Personal Labbook ensures that every experimental record is centralized, searchable, and always up-to-date. With real-time updates and powerful indexing, you can quickly locate specific entries or results, saving valuable time. Collaborate effortlessly by sharing selected entries with your team with customizable templates that adapt to your unique research needs. 


AI Insights:

AI Insights (recently renamed to BioSkepsis AI) analyzes experimental data in real time, comparing it with thousands of scientific publications to identify relevant findings, detect anomalies, and suggest improvements. It empowers researchers with evidence-based recommendations directly within their workflow, enhancing the accuracy and impact of their experiments.


Valuable Feedback: From Demo to Dialogue 

On the day of the VITALE Online Live Demonstration and Training Webinar, we welcomed a diverse and engaged audience of Life-Science professionals, laboratory managers, and automation specialists from across the globe. But beyond the number of attendees, what truly mattered was the value this webinar delivered for us, for the scientific community, and for the future of laboratory automation and digitalization. 


  1. Building Awareness and Connection: The webinar served as a gateway to introduce VITALE not just as a piece of software, but as a smart, adaptable platform built to tackle real-life laboratory challenges. The response was energizing. Participants resonated with our mission to make automation more accessible, intelligent, and usable.

  2. User Engagement: By walking users through each feature, Protocol Designer, Protocol Library, Scheduling Calendar, Personal Labbook, and AI Insights, we sparked conversations that went beyond surface-level interest. After the webinar, we shared a questionnaire where attendees shared their own laboratory struggles and allowed them to stay active and involved during the next phase of testing and optimizing the proposed software solution with their helpful feedback, confirming that the platform aligns with genuine scientific workflows.

  3. Feedback That Fuels Improvement: Perhaps the biggest advantage we gained through the webinar was what came after it. Participants were encouraged and invited to test the VITALE software remotely. The insights we received were direct, actionable, and invaluable. From fine-tuning the interface to expanding protocol flexibility, this feedback is already shaping the next version of the proposed platform.

  4. Demonstrating Scientific Value: One of our biggest goals with the webinar was to make the scientific contribution of VITALE crystal clear. By showcasing how the AI Insights module compares experimental results with thousands of scientific publications, we highlighted the platform’s power not just as an automation tool, but as a research assistant that enhances decision-making and reproducibility.

  5. Growing the LIFESPIRIT Community: The webinar also marked a milestone in expanding the LIFESPIRIT Community and collaborators who will shape the future of VITALE alongside us. Some attendees who were not already members, were influenced to join this growing group, eager to stay involved and contribute to the future of AI-powered lab automation.


This webinar wasn't just a presentation, it was a milestone. This was the first webinar that EFEVRE TECH organized, which allowed us to gain a strong ground in the market. It validated our direction, deepened our connections with the scientific community, and gave us the momentum we need to take the proposed VITALE software to the next level. And for that, we thank every participant who joined us. The journey is only beginning.
